Your RoleAre you passionate about helping an organisation grow its maturity in risk and compliance, not just maintaining frameworks, but helping to build them? This is your opportunity to make a real impact as the Senior Risk Officer. Reporting to the Manager, Risk and Compliance, you'll be part of a small Line 2 team with a hands-on role in shaping the Society's risk and compliance practices. You'll work closely with Line 1 risk owners and managers across diverse services and programs, supporting them to identify, assess and manage risks effectively.
Your ResponsibilitySupporting the ongoing development and implementation of non-financial risk and compliance frameworks across the Society.
Engaging with risk owners and managers to strengthen understanding and practical application of risk management principles.
Helping to evolve and use software tools to support frameworks, analysis and reporting for key stakeholders.
Coordinating the Risk and Compliance Advisory Group, including preparing meeting papers, notes and tracking action items.
Contributing to policy reviews and the business continuity plan.
Providing advice and input into business cases, projects and other initiatives to ensure effective risk consideration.
Experience developing and implementing risk and compliance frameworks.
- Organised and proactive with a background in risk management and compliance.
Strong analytical and communication skills, including preparing reports and risk analysis.
A practical understanding of risk management software or data tools.
The ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions to deliver positive outcomes.
- An understanding of the not-for-profit sector desirable.
