About the Role
SCOTS is seeking a casual Pronunciation and Communication (PRONCOM) teacher to join our teaching team from Monday, 14 July 2025. The position is likely to involve evening classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm (subject to final timetable confirmation).

Key Criteria

  • A minimum of a 3-year diploma or Bachelor degree
  • A CELTA qualification or other TESOL credential that includes at least 120 hours with a supervised practicum
  • Familiarity with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) — American, British, or Australian — and a general understanding of phonetics and phonology
  • Willingness to complete a short, paid induction and teaching observation prior to commencement

Desired Criteria

  • Substantial experience in ESL/EFL classroom teaching
  • Working knowledge of major English language proficiency tests (e.g., IELTS, Cambridge, PTE)
