THE ROLE

We're seeking a motivated Site Engineer with experience in buildings and structures to join our team on a major Rail maintenance facility and stabling yards construction project based in Ormeau, Queensland.

You will play a key role in overseeing and managing construction activities, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You will collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the planning and execution of structural and building works on-site.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.

  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure timely and quality delivery of works.

  • Assist with project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.

  • Work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against schedules and budgets.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in buildings and structures within the construction industry.

  • Previous experience working on Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) QLD or Queensland Rail (QR) projects is highly regarded.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and safety requirements.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in project management software and technical documentation.
