Midland City have a rewarding career opportunity for a Cafe Supervisor to join our vibrant collaborative team at Garage Grind, 20ft sea container converted in a café -  located near Midland MG and GG cart at CARCO.

We are looking for a Café Supervisor with barista experience.  This role operates as part of our stand-alone, purpose-built café.  You will be working in an environment where you can apply your knowledge of running a café and leading a small fun team.

The Café is open from:

• 7:00am – 5.15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• 7:00am – 7.00pm Wednesday
• 8am – 1.00pm on Saturday

The Cafe offers great work-life balance including no Sunday work and closure on public holidays.

YOU:

• Responsible for the daily operation of the Café and supervision of Café staff

• Managing rosters and ensuring adequate staffing levels

• Making coffee, heating/ grilling food, making shakes and smoothie, serving other products.

• Working in a clean and safe manner, preparing coffee at a very high level, and maintaining a fast pace

• Adhere to Food, Health and Safety regulations.

• Learning about brewing methods and presentation techniques to improve service quality.

• Provide excellent customer experience.

• Stocktake, stock ordering and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.

• Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments. Updating signage and displays to attract customers.

• Opening and closing the café as per requirement.

• Working in as part of a fun, high-energy team.

• Ensure cleaning standard is maintained.

• Handling cash and finalising account end of day
