WCP Civil is a family owned and operated Civil Construction Business based in Wangara.

We are looking to expand and develop our services in regional WA and require an experienced Civil Supervisor to assist in the Supervision of some upcoming major construction projects across the Wheatbelt and Great Southern Regions.

An exciting opportunity exists to join one of our established delivery teams and become a key part of the Regional Construction Division of WCP Civil, Delivering bulk earthworks, Pavements, Drainage, and overseeing Mechanical and Electrical installations.

You will be responsible for delivering your projects at high quality standards, on time, by ensuring all activities undertaken by employee and subcontractors are carried out effectively and efficiently in accordance with project specifications and in adherence with company policies and procedures.

WCP prides itself in providing the Team, the Tools and the Support for you to excel in your role as a Civil Supervisor.

Key responsibilities:

Planning and Programming

Your key purpose is to oversee and coordinate project operations in order to deliver within the project program, whilst working closely with the Project Management Team;

  • Planning and allocation of work priorities including Plant and Equipment and staff, and  Inspiring and encouraging others to achieve production Schedules
  • Effectively managing day to day coordination of field teams, resources, and sub-contractors, maximising resource efficiency to ensure achievement of production schedules.
  • Must have the ability to manage construction teams and make the necessary daily, Weekly changes that are required to maintain Production, Efficiency and stay on program.

People

  • Providing effective and collaborative Leadership and Supervision through 'on the ground' presence, and have a hands-on approach when required.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
  • Confident communication and ability to effectively liaise with all stakeholders on a major project including other employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors;
  • Manage employees according to OHS&E standards and policies

Communications Reporting and Record Keeping

  • Lead pre-start meetings and oversee machinery pre-start checks, coordinating and undertaking OHS&E inspections as required.
  • Providing timely and accurate information to the project team to meet management and Client requirements;
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings;
  • Report and document daily on operational activities in a site diary in accordance with processes and procedures
