About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Homecare Support Worker to provide dedicated support for a client living with a spinal cord injury.
Our client is an active and resilient young person who requires day-to-day assistance to help maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Support with colostomy and catheter care when required.
- Assist with therapies, including guided exercises and mobility routines.
- Encourage independence and promote a positive, supportive environment.
- Work in collaboration with the family and allied health professionals.
About You:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent qualification (or currently studying).
- Experience supporting clients with complex care needs, including spinal cord injury.
- Knowledge of colostomy care and catheter support is highly desirable not mandatory.
- Patient, reliable, and compassionate with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with young people and their families.
