About the role

Johnson and Sendall is seeking a Receptionist / Legal Assistant to join our team in Goulburn, NSW.

In this part-time role working two (2) days each week, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our legal professionals. With a focus on efficiency and attention to detail, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of our office.

This is an administrative role which would be suitable for an experienced receptionist or a law student looking for an introduction to working a firm environment.

The successful candidate would begin their employment in mid-December; where you will undertake some training with our current staff with a view of then starting work on a permanent basis after the Christmas closure period.

What you'll be doing

  1. Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  2. Answering and directing incoming phone calls
  3. Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  4. Providing administrative support to legal staff, including document preparation, filing, and data entry
  5. Handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  6. Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area
  7. Assisting with other general office duties as required

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
  3. Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask effectively
  4. Proficiency in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Office suite
  5. Any experience with Leap will be favourably considered.
  6. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  7. A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks
