About the role

As a Project Engineer at Rob Carr Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of civil and structural engineering projects in the Sydney area. Working in a full-time capacity, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of project implementation, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards while adhering to budget and timeline requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing engineering design support and technical expertise to project teams
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including managing schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Conducting site inspections and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, contractors, and subcontractors, to resolve issues and optimise project delivery
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation to track project progress and communicate with stakeholders
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar project engineering role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry
  • Proficiency in project management software, CAD tools, and other relevant engineering software
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and propose practical solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
