ACA Engineering is seeking an Engineering Assistant to join our dynamic team on Brisbane's northside

About the role

In this role, your duties as an Engineering Assistant will include but not be limited to:

  • working with experienced tradespeople in a precision engineering environment
  • learning metal component production while supporting workshop operations
  • assisting with machining, fabrication & repair projects
  • preparing materials and maintaining equipment
  • mastering both CNC and manual machining processes.

For the right person, this position can lead to a formal apprenticeship in an engineering specialty after a qualifying period.

What we're looking for

  • Full Australian working rights essential
  • Demonstrated basic Fitter/Turner skills or similar
  • Demonstrated basic machining techniques & material handling capabilities
  • Current AUS driver's license & own transport
  • Interest in engineering/metalwork (work, study or hobby-based)
  • Proven interest in engineering/metalwork through previous jobs, personal projects, relevant coursework or hobby experience
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Previous Fitter/Turner experience or similar desirable but not essential
