Our client, enabling a productive economy, enriched by science and technology, for all Australians is looking for a Data Architect.

Duties of the Data Architect:

  • In consultation with stakeholders, map existing data holdings, inputs and dependencies impacted by the project.
  • Investigate and recommend optimisation of the use of data holdings for the different streams of the project.
  • Design and implement data architecture and integration frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies and regulations.
  • Design and implement documentation to support renewed data processes.

Skills and Experience Required for the Data Architect:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Architect in Australian Public Service settings, preferably within agencies with regulatory compliance responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing and optimising data holdings to ensure effective execution of business operational and strategic responsibilities and goals.
  • A working understanding of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of data security controls required.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including well developed negotiation and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
