Electrician - Scotia

Location - Penny Gold Mine OR Scotia Gold Mine

About the role as an Underground Electrician:

• conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards.
• provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices.
• prepare shift reports detailing work performed.
• ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules.

We are looking for.

• Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment(preferable)
• Current WA Electrical Licence or interstate licenses accepted (transferred at your own cost)
• Current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Current working at heights qualification's
• Experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment
• Experience in high voltage work
• Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills
• Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks
• The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
