About the role as an Underground Electrician:
- conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards.
- provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices.
- prepare shift reports detailing work performed.
- ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules.
We are looking for.
- Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment(preferable)
- Current WA Electrical Licence or interstate licenses accepted (transferred at your own cost)
- Current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Current working at heights qualification's
- Experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment
- Experience in high voltage work
- Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills
- Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks
- The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
