We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead our busy, well-loved café in Berambing, NSW. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will spend around 60–70% of your time working alongside the team (serving customers, making coffee, running the floor) and 30–40% managing operations (rostering, training, ordering, stock control, and staff accountability).

The right candidate will be reliable, organised, and confident in leading a small team to deliver a professional and enjoyable customer experience.

Responsibilities


• Lead and motivate front and back of house staff


• Maintain a professional workplace culture, keeping staff focused and productive


• Work alongside the team during service (barista, counter, floor)


• Manage staff rosters, shift allocation, and leave planning


• Train and develop staff to meet high service standards


• Oversee ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships


• Handle customer service issues and resolve them effectively


• Open and close the café when rostered as manager on duty


• Report directly to the owners on staff performance, costs, and operations

Requirements


• 2+ years' experience in café or restaurant management


• Strong leadership and communication skills


• Ability to balance floor duties with management responsibilities


• Hands-on approach with willingness to step into service when needed


• Organised, reliable, and able to hold staff accountable


• Barista and café all-rounder experience highly regarded


• Must be available Thursday to Monday (Tues/Wed off)
