About the Opportunity

Hatchit Studios is seeking a
Senior Server Engineer
to support a Darwin-based organisation on a large-scale infrastructure modernisation program. This role will design, implement and manage secure, high-availability server and virtualisation environments that host critical IT and Operational Technology (OT) workloads.

You will lead Active Directory migration activities, apply security uplifts in line with federal cyber standards, and deliver reliable, well-documented infrastructure services in a collaborative technical team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain
    Windows Server
    and
    Active Directory
    environments supporting a new Active Directory Forest.
  • Configure and administer
    VMware virtualisation
    infrastructure to meet performance and availability targets.
  • Apply security remediation and uplift in accordance with policy requirements.
  • Utilise monitoring, vulnerability and fault analysis tools to optimise system performance.
  • Install, customise and maintain Windows Server operating systems and hardware to meet service levels.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain architecture and as-built documentation.
  • Work closely with system owners and cross-disciplinary teams to support operational continuity.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing
    Windows Server
    and
    Active Directory
    in secure, high-availability environments.
  • Proven capability administering
    VMware virtualisation platforms
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    security remediation and compliance
    standards.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders effectively.
  • Desirable: Understanding of ITIL principles and Operational Technology systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC).
  • Certifications such as
    AZ-800/801
    ,
    MCSA
    ,
    MCSE
    , or
    VCP-DCV
    are highly regarded.
