Who We Are:

South East Region Learning College is a flexible, alternative setting delivering QCAA curriculum in alignment with Education Queensland. The College has 3 campuses currently and this position will be based at the Varsity Campus. This position will be offered for an initial 3 Term contract with a possibility of extension.

Our college focuses on the development of positive relationships with students and the community, flexible pathways for students, teaching, learning and innovation. As Head of Department you will assist the Leadership team of all 3 campuses to provide consistent policy and procedures with a focus on curriculum leadership and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

As a school manager you play a vital role in shaping the way we deliver education services to ensure students have the skills, knowledge and creativity to succeed in the global economy. The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide vocational curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Capacity to use analytical skills to contribute to vocational educational outcomes at the school level.
  • Demonstrated competence and capacity to support teaching staff on the complexities of compressed curriculum within multi-age classrooms.
