Hairdressing Trainer

The French Beauty Academy in Adelaide is looking for an experienced Hairdressing Trainer to join our growing campus.

The Role:

You'll be teaching hairdressing units to our Cert III cohorts via our VET in Schools program.

Depending on your preference, we currently offer availability for 1-3 days per week, with potential for additional marking hours based on your availability. As our workload is expected to grow in the near future, there may be opportunities for increased hours.

You'll spend your time:

• Teaching and interacting with young learners in a respectful and inclusive way, including those from different cultural or language backgrounds
• Confidently presenting theory and practical aspects of each unit, including live demonstrations
• Nurturing and supporting our students as they learn new skills
• Observing students conducting training treatments on each other and model clients
• Marking online assessments using our bespoke learning management system

Our new Educators will bring with them:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Relevant vocational qualification at the Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma level
• Recent experience as a professional hairdresser
• Dedication to excellence and the transformative power of education
• Strong computer literacy and experience using a variety of online systems
• A valid Working with Children Check, or ability to gain prior to commencement
• Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care Accreditation, or ability to complete prior to commencement
