The Planning Land Use Strategy, Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team are the driving force behind the Department's strategic planning, policy, rezoning, and infrastructure projects, all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live.
We take pride in our comprehensive approach to planning and development with our teams actively managing the housing and employment land supply pipeline through strategic planning and policy development, state-led statutory rezonings, and infrastructure planning.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Senior Planning Officer Agency Partnerships to join our Planning, Land Use Strategy, Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team at the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
The role delivers high-quality, timely planning guidance and oversees the development, implementation, and assessment of complex planning and policy projects that advance strategic government priorities and requirements. This work ensures compliance with government policies and contributes to building a more robust and efficient state planning system.
You will bring demonstrated knowledge and experience in strategic planning, infrastructure contributions, property development or infrastructure projects, strong stakeholder engagement and management expertise, knowledge of statutory requirements, risk management, infrastructure planning and workings of Government, including the role of State infrastructure agencies.
Appropriate degree qualifications i.e. engineering, economics, urban planning, land surveying, project management, construction management and/or equivalent relevant industry experience (essential).
