Your new company

Our client, a successful company specialising in HVAC and Mechanical services, is recruiting a talented HVAC Estimator / Project Engineer to work on the delivery of various projects, within the Commercial, Industrial and Defence sectors.

Your new role

As an HVAC Estimator / Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates and assist in managing the design, installation and commissioning of HVAC systems. This is a permanent full-time role based in Darwin.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Review and analyse project requirements and documentation including scope of works, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare tender response and contract bids documentation including response schedule, price breakdowns, and bill of quantities.
• Develop project plans, as built drawings, shop drawings and construction schedules.
• Collaborate with Consultants, Contractors, and Clients to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues or conflicts.
• Monitor project delivery to ensure delivery meets required specifications, timeframes and budget.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in HVAC estimating and / or project engineering.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, SimPRO) and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• The ability to obtain a DCAC Pass / Defence Clearance.
