We are excited to announce a part time opening for a Home Program Officer to join The Arts and Initiatives Unit in Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate.

•Location: Lewisham with access to flexible working arrangements available

•Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 with base salary ranging from $99,938 to $110,271 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the directorate
The Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and specialist programs to support student engagement and opportunities including Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs.
 
The Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services team focuses on the delivery of student support services including support for students in the areas of child protection, mental health, wellbeing and complex needs.
 
The Assisted School Travel Program provides transportation services for students with additional needs from home to school and back to ensure all students are able to access education in NSW public schools.
 
Student opportunities across all areas are enhanced through partnerships with industry specialists and stakeholders.
 
About the role
This Home Program Officer coordinates the delivery of the Home Program to rural and remote schools through close collaboration with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, regional galleries, and the Art Gallery of NSW. The program delivers teacher professional learning, visual arts workshops, 
online content and exhibition opportunities in collaboration with key stakeholders for rural and remote students.

Key knowledge and experience:
·Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
 
Essential requirements:

•Current driver's licence 

•Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)

•Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
