The Role

Reporting to the Vice Principal and Deputy Head of Senior School (Students & Operations), the Head of Students – Officer Campus provides strategic and operational leadership of student wellbeing, engagement and campus life.

Working in partnership with the Senior School Leadership Team and the Head of Students (Berwick), you will:

• Drive a dynamic wellbeing program—including the Positive Humanity program—while embedding the school's strategic priorities.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Heads of House and Mentor staff, building strong relationships within each House.
• Champion student voice and leadership opportunities, guiding and empowering appointed student leaders.
• Coordinate key student events such as assemblies, Presentation Ball, Year 12 final celebrations and the Valedictory Dinner.
• Oversee student recognition and awards programs, ensuring goals are set and records maintained.
• Maintain high standards of student behaviour, appearance and attendance.
• Partner with parents to maximise communication and engagement in wellbeing initiatives.
• Contribute to whole-school policy and strategic planning, and lead change initiatives and projects (including tours and experiences).

This is a three-year tenure position with an annual review, commencing January 2026, and includes a classroom teaching component.

About You

You are a passionate and collaborative educational leader who can inspire both students and staff. You bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and current VIT registration.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in senior school settings with strong knowledge of student wellbeing and the Australian Curriculum.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues.
• The ability to manage change, set high expectations and balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operations.
• A commitment to student safety and the school's values of Courage, Curiosity, Character and Respect.
• The right to work in Australia and a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
