This hands-on role combines yard operations with direct responsibility for asset remarketing, offering a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to channel your passion for trucks and heavy equipment into enhancing the business's online presence and auction outcomes. You'll play a key role in preparing and presenting industrial assets for sale and delivering on sales strategy.

What You'll Do:

  • Use your passion for trucks and machinery to support the remarketing process by gathering information about assets, cataloguing and preparing it for sale to ensure buyers are as informed as possible and enticed to participate at auction.
  • Present and photograph trucks and machinery to showcase them in the best possible light, developing an understanding of your market and delivering them the details they need to bid at auction.
  • Operate and move a wide range of heavy equipment, including trucks and earthmoving machinery, around the yard to enhance their market appeal.
  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload assets within the industrial yard. Dealing with buyers and managing ongoing relationships with transport operators.
  • Record stock movements and conduct vehicle stocktakes using handheld technology, while reporting on asset condition and status.
  • Support the broader operations team by assisting buyers during inspections and responding to asset-related enquiries.
  • Prepare and detail assets to ensure they are auction-ready.
  • While the majority of work will be based at our Altona North facility, occasional travel to regional Victoria or interstate locations may be required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience with trucks and machinery is highly regarded. An interest in these assets and the desire to continually learn about equipment and the market will ensure success in this role.
  • A current
    Forklift Licence
    is essential; a
    Heavy Combination (HC) Driver's Licence
    is preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks (Police and Work Rights) and a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing. Random onsite testing is also conducted.
  • Basic computer literacy and confidence using smartphone apps.
  • A strong safety mindset, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow instructions.
