House Manager – Supported Independent Living (SIL)

We're looking for a 
House Manager (HM)
 to oversee multiple Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes. This is a highly operational, on-the-ground role — perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to drive real outcomes for participants and staff.

About the Role

  • As House Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of 
    up to 5-6 SIL homes
    , You'll lead service delivery, manage staff performance, ensure compliance, and build a high-quality support environment that aligns with participant goals.
  • House Managers provide exceptional care and promote choice and control within the lives of Embrace Community Care participants. The purpose of a House Manager is to develop, maintain and implement effective and sustainable accommodation environments for our Participants.
  • This position reports to the Operations Manager for the operational outcomes of accommodation houses with a focus on a person-centred active support approach, maximising the level of independence of the participants, engaging with the participants families and other members of their care team to promote the health and wellbeing of the participants.
  • ·House Managers are responsible for the Daily running aspects of our accommodation houses and have communication with staff, participants, Care teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an accommodation environment based upon the assessed support requirements of individual participants.
  • Liaise with families, other disability services, external stakeholders and support groups.
  • Ensure regular (at least monthly) team meetings are held, for the purpose of enhanced communication, development and improvements of services.
  • Assist staff members in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of expenditure and budgets.
  • Managing accommodation in accordance with Embrace Community Care's Business Plan and Budgets
  • Reviewing operational practices annually to ensure the services and support at the group homes are undergoing continuous improvement
  • Contributing to the review and development of Policies and Procedures are current for the purpose of achieving Embrace Community Care's Vision and Mission statements
  • Responsible for the rostering of all direct support staff within your houses including monitoring of absenteeism and recommendations for escalation.
  • Ensure all incidents are managed effectively and reported within relevant timeframes, reflective of Embrace Community Care Policies and Procedures.
  • Full operational oversight of assigned SIL services
  • Conduct 2+ site visits per week to monitor quality and mentor teams

About You

  • Proven experience as a House Manager.
  • Confident leading and managing frontline teams in dynamic environments
  • Skilled in rostering, recruitment, and performance management
  • Strong understanding of NDIS compliance, documentation, and incident reporting
  • Highly organised with strong follow-through and problem-solving ability
  • Passionate about high-quality service delivery and participant outcomes
  • Able to work autonomously while keeping aligned with organisational goals

Full-Time Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year, plus annual leave loading.
