- Permanent Full-Time 35 hours per week
- Attractive salary ranging from $1,088.80 up to $1,248.95

Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Landfill Weighbridge Attendant within our Waste Management team.
As a Landfill Weighbridge Attendant, you will be responsible for the following: -
- Operating and managing the weighbridge system to accurately record and track incoming and outgoing waste materials.
- Communicating with waste management team and ensuring compliance with weight restrictions and regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting visitors with inquiries, payments, and general information about the landfill facility.
- Conducting regular inspections of the weighbridge equipment to ensure proper functioning and reporting any issues for maintenance.
- Recording data accurately in electronic systems and generating reports on waste quantities for management review.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

The ideal candidate would have:
- Certificate III Asset Maintenance (Waste Management) or equivalent. (Applicants who do not hold this qualification may be considered however you must commit to enrolling in the qualification within Council's 3-month probationary period)
- Ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to work both as a team member and unsupervised whilst producing high quality work under pressure and within set deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to problem solve and maintain confidentiality
Tickets, Licences and Certificates:
- White Card (General Construction and Induction Card) - please note, you can obtain your White Card during the application process if you do not hold a White Card.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence (Manual)
Immunisations required:
- Ability to provide evidence of vaccination/immunisation for Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus and maintain currency of this throughout your period of employment. This will need to be completed prior to commencement in the position if successful.
