Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to provide support and assistance to inmates in custody, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The role focuses on maintaining and facilitating contact between individuals, their families, friends, and the wider community.
The successful applicant will conduct rostered visits to the Mount Isa Watch House and work collaboratively with community members to build and maintain positive relationships.
Candidates Need:
- Ability to acquire a Blue Card.
- Possession of current clean Australian Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Sound level computer knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Must have basic knowledge of data reporting/entry.
