About the role
Brainwaves Rehab', a leading neurological rehabilitation provider in the Newcastle NSW 2300 area, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent part-time or casual basis. This role is crucial in supporting the wellbeing and recovery of our clients, and will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify their individual needs and goals
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to maximise client outcomes
- Provide upper limb occupational therapy interventions, including assistive technology prescription
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to client care
- Maintain detailed client records and contribute to reporting
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
What we're looking for
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, ideally in a rehabilitation setting
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Flexibility to work casual/part-time hours
