Care to Care provides in-home assistance to Aged and Disabled clients enabling them to live their lives independently in their own homes.

Our services include Personal Care, Nursing Care, Domestic Assistance, Transportation, Companionship & Pastoral Care, In-Home Respite and Light Gardening.

We are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team to look after one of our clients on Russell Island. Services are from 9am to 5pm as well as potential sleep-overs (inactive). We have a great team looking after our client but are looking for someone to join the team and do a couple of shifts per week.

The successful candidates will have a strong background in Community Care and will thrive on working in a close-knit team and have a passion for delivering the highest quality in client care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Personal Care
  • Provide Domestic Assistance
  • Provide companionship and support clients with social activities
  • Assist clients with transportation to appointments, etc.
  • Meal preparation

Key requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Well presented, reliable and resilient
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • Current unrestricted driver's license
  • Assist clients with medication unit (desirable – or willing to obtain)
  • Blue and yellow card/NDIS Workers screening check or willing to obtain
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • COVID 19 Vaccination

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $42.28 – $76.10 per hour

Experience:

  • Aged/Disability Care: 2 years (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Preferred)
  • Driver's licence (Preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR (Preferred)
