Barker College is currently seeking a Groundsperson based at our Hornsby campus.

This will be a fulltime role commencing as soon as possible.

  • Maintain and enhance sportsfield turf, gardens, and landscaped areas to a high standard.
  • Operate and maintain a range of ride-on mowers, tractors, and horticultural equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor irrigation systems and perform minor repairs as required.
  • Assist with preparing sportsfields for school events, including line marking and set-up.
  • Work collaboratively within the Grounds Team, supporting a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to workplace safety and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and contractors when required.
  • Prior experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture is highly regarded.

Flexibility to work occasional weekends or after hours for special events.
