RM Surveys is Seeking a Service Locator for the Utility Mapping Team

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented 
Service Locator
 to join our growing Utility Mapping team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in the critical field of underground asset mapping while working alongside experienced professionals.

About the role:

  • Carry out utility locating using industry-leading equipment including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electro-magnetic locating devices, potholing, and non-destructive digging tools.
  • Accurately record and document underground services, ensuring reports meet required quality standards.
  • Assist in the safe use, care, and maintenance of locating equipment.
  • Work with a variety of clients and team members across diverse projects.
  • Contribute to safety and HSEQ compliance across all tasks.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in service locating or related field (utility locating, construction, or surveying).
  • Working knowledge of GPR and Electro-magnetic devices (training provided for the right candidate).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple site tasks effectively.
  • A proactive work ethic and positive attitude.

Mandatory:

  • Valid Australian driver's license.
  • White Card.

Additional qualifications (preferred):

  • Certloc Accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
  • ATCO High-Pressure Gas Accreditation.
  • Concrete scanning or surveying experience.
  • Familiarity with vacuum excavation methods.
  • Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) (or willingness to obtain).
  • Recent Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
