Duration: Ongoing 
Location: Hybrid working arrangements in place – in office
requirement to attend Sydney McKell offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
which is subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies. 

About the team 

This role sits within the NSW Telco Authority Enterprise Architecture team.

An exciting ongoing opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Business
Analyst to lead the charge in supporting with the transition of BA support internally
to the Enterprise Architect team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in
translating business needs into technical solutions by engaging with
stakeholders, analysing systems and processes, and coordinating the delivery of
high-quality, customer-focused technology solutions. This role requires strong
project management capabilities and the ability to work across complex
technical environments, including radio and telecommunications systems.

Your responsibilities will include 

  • Engaging with stakeholders to document business requirements and ensure accurate translation of business needs
  • Analysing systems and business processes to define functional requirements and design for systems, data, and integrations
  • Coordinating end-to-end technical delivery and ensuring rigorous testing for quality assurance
  • Collaborating with architects, security, and data governance teams to ensure compliance with standards and strategy
  • Partnering with project and product teams to deliver solutions that improve operations and align with organisational goals
  • Providing technical support for complex issues and coordinating resolution with technical teams and partners
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and evaluating opportunities to improve technical performance

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate 

  • Essential Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a minimum Baseline Security clearance within six months to work with sensitive government and critical communications information
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project planning, coordination, and delivery within ICT environments
  • Technical Analysis & Design: Experience with user stories, use cases, wireframes, data models, and interface specifications
  • Customer Service: Strong ability to deliver customer-focused services and collaborate with stakeholders to improve outcomes
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences and present with credibility
  • Technology & Innovation: Understanding of available technologies and how they can be used to maximise business outcomes
  • Compliance & Governance: Awareness of cyber security, data governance, and records management requirements

the following requirements would set you apart from the rest

  • Telecommunications Experience: Radio or Telco background experience

deliver radio communications for frontline responders.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting
