About the role:
We're on the hunt for a driven and experienced Site Supervisor to lead the charge on a specialised modular construction project in Townsville QLD. This position will commence as an initial 6-month contract with the prospect of becoming full time or being extended. This position will commence in January 2026. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of on-site operations — from coordinating and overseeing subcontractors and tradespeople, to ensuring safety, quality, schedules, and budgets are met. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality modular solutions across multiple projects of varying size and complexity. The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Leading construction teams on site, monitoring project construction schedules and reporting on project progress and updates.
- Reviewing project specifications and drawings and provide advice on construction methodology.
- Organising required materials, equipment, subcontractors, and direct labour.
- Monitoring subcontractors' scope of works and oversee daily operations.
- Ensuring the project is delivered in compliance with drawings and specifications, contractual documents and internal procedures.
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures and policies on site at all times.
About you:
You're a proactive and hands-on Supervisor with a solid background in commercial construction supervision, ideally with experience in modular or transportable buildings. With at least 3 years in a similar role, you have a deep understanding of construction processes, Australian Standards, and site safety regulations. You're confident coordinating a wide range of subcontractors and tradespeople, keeping projects on track while maintaining a sharp focus on quality and compliance. Your excellent communication and organisational skills allow you to manage multiple priorities and drive results with minimal supervision. Most importantly, you're a team player who leads by example, brings a strong safety mindset, and takes pride in delivering high-standard projects on time and within budget.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- 3+ year experience in a similar role in commercial construction.
- Townsville or Cairns based
- Comprehensive understanding of the building industry.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards/Regulations and other applicable legislations and construction techniques.
- Commitment to safe working practices.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with trades, colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- An ability to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Skilled in defining, prioritising and organising completing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated drive and initiative.
- Be willing to undertake a National police check.
- Hold a current valid Queensland driver's license.
- Construction Induction Training Card (Whitecard).
