About the Team

As a Platform Engineer joining our DevSecOps team, you'll be part of a collaborative, future focused group leading the charge in secure software delivery across the enterprise. As a Platform Engineer, you'll be part of a team that builds and maintains the foundational platforms that power our secure, scalable solutions. We embrace cloud-native technologies, automation, and infrastructure as code to support innovation and resilience across the business.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer, you'll focus on designing, building, and maintaining the core platforms that support our software delivery lifecycle. This includes managing our Software Factory offerings, ensuring secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines, and enabling development teams through robust automation and infrastructure tooling. You'll work with technologies like GitLab, Artifactory, Argo CD, Ansible, Helm, and cloud-native databases to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient platforms

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable platform services across the enterprise.

• Manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Argo CD.

• Maintain and secure artifact storage and version control systems (e.g., Artifactory, GitLab).

• Automate infrastructure and application deployment using Ansible, Helm, and related tools.

• Support and manage databases and data services.

• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure platform reliability and security.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and platform innovation.

• Participate in incident response and platform resilience efforts.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for candidates across various levels within the DevSecOps stream who bring a mix of technical expertise, collaborative mindset, and a passion for secure innovation. You'll bring:

• Experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure roles with a strong focus on automation and security.

• Hands-on experience with GitLab, Artifactory, Argo CD, and CI/CD pipeline design.

• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Helm.

• Familiarity with managing cloud-native databases and containerised environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to platform reliability.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

• A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (baseline or higher).

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
