Our Nutritional Leader is responsible for preparing fresh and wholesome meals each day whilst ensuring each child's health and wellbeing is catered for. Here at Happy Tots on Keats at Moorooka, we are looking for a Nutritional Leader to join our passionate team of educators, that are driven to foster growth, embed innovative curriculums, and create a beautiful team culture on a Part-Time basis.
Your daily duties will consist of:
- Preparing nutritional meals (Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, and Afternoon Tea)
- Ensuring all meals prepared meet special dietary requirements of children with allergies and cultural preferences
- Creating and embedding a wholesome menu
- Purchasing and ordering stock within Centre budget
- Implement safe food handling practices and procedures
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene within the food preparation area
- Communicate positively with all children, families, and staff daily
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant Safe Food Handling Certificate, including Food Safety Supervisor Certification (or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent time-management skills
- Knowledge of food handling procedures
- Previous experiencing within an early childhood setting is desirable
