About the role

Bestoked Pty Ltd, an established event construction company based in Thomastown, Melbourne is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and installation of custom builds for a diverse range of projects across sporting, theatre, activation and event construction. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the continued growth and success of our business.

What you'll be doing

  • Fabricate and assemble custom builds, fixtures, and other woodworking components in our workshop
  • Carefully measure, cut, and install custom builds both in workshop and on various sites
  • Collaborate with project director, team and clients to ensure the successful completion of each project
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the carpentry and cabinet making industry or shopfitter.
  • Previous event construction experience preferred but not essential
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on-site
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with clients
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to reach our Caringbah workshop and sites as required
