Rostering Coordinator

About the role
The Rostering Coordinator will be working closely with our Disability Services Team to ensure a reliable and consistent service to our participants. You will be creating and maintaining rosters and using your in-depth knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services award to ensure employees are able to provide high-quality care within the guidelines of the award.
Duties:
- Working closely with the Team , and Managers with regards to ongoing staffing needs.
- Developing and maintaining rosters to ensure appropriate levels of staffing to meet participant needs.
- Ensuring all roster changes, cancellations, leave requests are promptly updated, filled and communicated to all the stakeholders.
- Approve shifts for both employees and participants, verifying against the run sheet.
- Participating in ongoing training of new employees in the rostering system.
- Recording any training sessions or meetings in Visual Care.
- This is an office-based role, 3 days a week, Wednesday -Friday from 9 am-5 pm
Requirements:
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and access to your own insured vehicle.
- Ability to complete a National Police Check, WWCC and NDISWC
- Excellent knowledge of rostering principles and SCHADS Award requirements
Highly Desirable:
- Use of rostering software such as Visual Care or extensive rostering experience.
- Knowledge of Person-Centred Approach and the NDIS Quality Safeguarding Standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Able to meet deadlines while matching client needs with employee skills.
