About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. You will:

  • Provide high-level tutoring and learning support to boarding students.
  • Develop strong, respectful relationships with students, demonstrating understanding of their culture and community connections.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging educational materials, including literacy and numeracy support.
  • Report on student progress and any behavioural or learning issues to the Education Manager.
  • Uphold health, safety, and security standards.
  • Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Cowboys Rugby League Football Club and NRL Cowboys House values.

Desirable Attributes

  • Qualifications in an education-related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working with adolescents.
  • Excellent tutoring skills, with the ability to earn trust and credibility.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and awareness of issues affecting educational outcomes.
  • High level of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Music teaching experience or formal music qualifications (highly desirable).
