We are seeking two enthusiastic and experienced medical receptionists to join our exceptional team as our practice continues to grow This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of dedicated and experienced GPs in a medical clinic that puts the interests and needs of its patients first, where diversity is celebrated, and individual health needs are prioritised.

Receptionist Role
As the first person a patient has contact with you set the standard for our clinic. We are looking for an individual who can bring a warm welcome to our patients and facilitate their needs. We want each patient to be treated with kindness, respect and compassion (especially when they are feeling upset, ill or vulnerable) and our reception staff lead the way with this. We have a zero-tolerance policy with regard to patient behaviour - and we do enact this policy.
We are looking to appoint 2 part time medical receptionists to cover the following hours listed below :
Hours required : Monday and Wednesday - 7.30am - 4.00pm
Hours required : Monday, Wednesday and Thursday am – 6.00pm
Responsibilities
- Manage open or closing of the clinic
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional, and courteous manner
- Manage telephone enquiries
- Make appointment bookings
- Manage payments – mixed billing
- Triage patients with nurse or GP if necessary
- Manage fax, email and mail communications
- Maintain patient records
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to all aspects of patient care
- Maintain the reception and waiting area as a clean and safe environment
We are looking for someone with
- Minimum 2 years medical reception experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong personal integrity
- Capacity to work with diverse people with compassion
- Experience with Best Practice and HotDoc desirable
- Professional presentation and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Reliability, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset
- Pay level at industry rates commensurate with experience
