About the role

As an Apprentice Carpenter at GHB Carpentry, you will have the opportunity to learn with a team of highly skilled and experienced Carpenters. This full-time role is based in Torquay, Victoria and will provide you with the skills and knowledge to build a successful career in carpentry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting with a range of tasks including framing, installing doors and windows, cladding and finish carpentry work
  2. Developing expertise in the use of hand and power tools
  3. Learning how to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
  4. Undertaking on-the-job training and attending vocational carpentry courses
  5. Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

What we're looking for

  1. A genuine interest in carpentry and a desire to learn and develop your skills
  2. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  3. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
  4. Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
  5. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
