An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Engineering Draftperson with experience in major transport infrastructure projects, to join the fast-growing Australian arm of an international group that is a global leader in the field of ventilation for underground mines, road and railway tunnels, and metro systems.
Qualifications & experience:

An advantage to have approximately 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.

Experience in understanding the basics of mechanical and structural engineering and in applying different Australian and international standards i.e. AS 1100 and AS 4100

Familiar with CAD software like Autocad, Inventor and Revit

Familiar with BIM interfacing systems in infrastructure projects.

Capable of working under pressure and in a multicultural environment.

An advantage to have Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting

An advantage to have experience within steel fabrication / manufacturing industry, including knowledge of material standards and welding symbols in Australia.

An advantage to have knowledge of welding, fabrication, design principles.

Familiar with architectural and civil drawings as used in major transport projects, and the most common interfaces between equipment and architectural.

Permit to work in Australia
Tasks & responsibilities:

Integrate 3D models from different equipment obtained from different suppliers and sources into overall client's tunnel ventilation system drawings.

Resolving spatial coordination issues.

Escalate unresolved coordination issues to the relevant engineering lead.

Prepare project drawings including layouts and interface drawings with other disciplines.

Support the sales team with preliminary drawing for tenders.

Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.

Prepare design packages for Project Manager/Engineer to validate.

Positive attitude, support workshop with technical experience and knowledge.
