Role Overview:

The Business Analyst will be Canberra based and working within a Defence project undertaking systems discovery deep dive.

Expected deep dive deliverables include

  • Collaborative engagement: regular sprint planning, reviews, stakeholder input, and alignment with evolving priorities
  • Identify and document existing legacy systems across business units, capturing ownership, usage, business function and commercial arrangements.
  • Assess functional overlap, technical dependencies, and operational duplication to identify consolidation opportunities.
  • Finalised report including recommendations, next steps and supporting documentation.

The successful candidate will have

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner internally within the Project team.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including engaging with, and communicating between, business and technical ICT stakeholders.
