Qualifications & experience
- Experience in either marine trimming, sail making or upholstery is preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in sewing and fabric handling
- Willingness to develop sewing, fabric handling and patterning skills with on-the-job training provided
- Knowledge of materials and products used in marine/industrial applications is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving
- Ability to work interdependently or as part of a team
- Current drivers license is preferred but not essential
- Australian work rights are required for this position
Tasks & responsibilities
- Fabricate new covers, clears, upholstery, industrial items, sails
- Collaborate with the design team to create custom textile solutions
- Maintain a clean and organised workplace
- Ensure high-quality standards in marine trimming/sail making/upholstery
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of all company products across different projects and environments
- Provide excellent customer service and communication
- A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic
