Cyber Security Specialist – Risk & Assurance

Location: Canberra, ACT
Are you passionate about cyber risk, assurance, and continuous improvement? We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join a high-performing team working in a complex Microsoft 365 environment. In this role, you'll lead cyber risk assessments, support security documentation, and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with major frameworks like ISM and the Essential 8. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical and communication skills looking to make an impact in a secure government setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver Security Documentation Packs (e.g., SSPs, SRMPs, IRPs) to support ATO processes
  • Lead technical cyber risk assessments for Microsoft 365 environments
  • Oversee compliance with ISM, Essential 8, PSPF, DSPF, and Secure Cloud Blueprint
  • Provide expert advice to support continuous improvement of cyber security posture

Essential Criteria
:

  • Demonstrated experience in cyber risk assessments within Microsoft 365 environments
  • Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, PSPF, DSPF)
  • Experience developing security documentation aligned to ATO requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders
