The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. Description:

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out both planned and unplanned crane activities within a fixed plant environment, working closely with the processing and maintenance teams.

This is a site-based role, working on an 15:13 FIFO roster (ex-Perth).

About the Role

Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices;

Safely and effectively delivering execution of planned & unplanned crane/rigging activities;

Resolving on the job work issues;

Ensuring work procedures are followed;

Referring unresolved issues and problems to the supervisor;

Assisting Process Operations with housekeeping;

Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using the appropriate equipment;

Dismantling and storing of rigging equipment after use;

The selection and fabrication of equipment relevant to the weights and sizes of equipment to be safely manoeuvred in a high risk environment;

Using approved signals, equipment and directing employees as per the approved procedures to ensure own, fellow workmates and equipment during hoisting and moving of loads.

Skills and Experiences:

About You

TLILIC0040 – CN Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity);

CPCCLRG3001 – Licence to perform rigging basic level;

CPCCLRG3002 – Licence to perform rigging intermediate level;

CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to perform dogging;

WA 'C' class drivers licence;

Demonstrated experience in the mining or heavy industry within a process plant environment;

Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems; and

Proven understanding of risk assessment and management systems.
