Garment Technician

At Beginning Boutique, we make outfits for the most exciting events in our customer's life - but even the cutest dress gets returned if it doesn't fit.

That's where you come in.

We're hiring a Garment Tech (Fit & Quality) to bring consistency, quality, and confidence to every product we launch - across all regions (AU, US, NZ, UK). You'll support the fit process from concept to bulk, roll out robust tech packs and blocks, ensure quality alignment with offshore factories, and analyse fit-related returns to make smart, fast improvements.

• Support fit and sizing for all categories: dresses, denim, outerwear, and more
• Support fit process in sessions and ensure garments meet design intent and customer needs
• Build and maintain fit blocks, tech packs, and a centralised measurement library
• Review all PP and bulk samples to ensure factory accuracy
• Partner with Design, Buying, and Production to set clear technical standards
• Review customer feedback and return data to identify improvement areas
• Communicate fit changes and spec updates to suppliers with clarity and documentation
• Partner with factories on construction quality, pre-production accuracy, and proactive QC fixes
• Track return rates and take accountability for reducing fit-related issues

• 1+ years as a Garment Tech, Fit Specialist, or Technical Designer
• Experience across multiple categories, not just one vertical
• Confident working with offshore factories (China, India, Vietnam etc.)
• Expert in garment construction, spec building, and fit grading
• Collaborative, proactive, and high attention to detail
• Excel + Illustrator skills essential; PLM system experience a plus
