About the Role:

The Lead Hydrogeologist is a recognised expert responsible for leading the provision of specialist hydrogeological assessments, advice and services to address the State's strategic priorities in relation to the sustainable management of water resources. The role provides professional specialist direction, oversight, project management and deliverables relating to hydrogeology, while ensuring appropriate collaboration and communication with other professional officers, government, other stakeholders and industry. The Principal Hydrogeologist will also mentor staff to build their technical capacity.

Contract:

Ongoing contract.

Essential Qualifications:

An appropriate qualification or post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology or groundwater science.

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
  • You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.
  • A current class "C" driver's license and willingness to drive is desirable.
  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel, occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normal hours of work.

Remuneration:

PO5 $124,449 min - $130,253 max p.a.
