Canberra, ACT, Australia Attention To Dental Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

An exciting position has become available for a Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist at our clinic right in the heart of Canberra City; our cutting-edge, 5-chair dental clinic delivers expert care for the whole family, from first check-ups to long-term oral health and general dentistry needs. With advanced digital tech, a prevention-first approach, and a team committed to continuous learning, we're keen to welcome someone who will collaborate with us to make our patients dental experience smarter, smoother, and more comfortable than ever.

Available from November, this full-time (4.5 days) role offers the chance to hit the ground running in our busy practice, with full books and a steady stream of patients from day one. Our next available Hygiene appointment openings are approximately April-May 2026.

Whether you're a fresh graduate eager to launch your career or a seasoned Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist seeking a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a valued Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist in our premium, city-based practice, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to a diverse and loyal patient base.

Your day-to-day will centre around providing advanced hygiene and periodontal treatments, delivering tailored oral health education, and championing preventive care for patients of all ages. More than just routine care, your clinical expertise will empower patients to take control of their oral health, making a real difference in their long-term wellbeing.

In your day-to-day role, you'll also be meticulously maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records that ensure continuity and quality. You'll also elevate smiles through professional teeth whitening treatments, using the latest industry systems.

Beyond clinical excellence, you'll play a vital role in our recall and retention strategies, reconnecting with long-term patients and reinforcing their commitment to ongoing care within our thriving practice.

Our philosophy is to provide our patients the best possible treatment, using the most up-to-date and proven methods, materials and equipment; with prevention of dental disease as a higher ideal than the actual treatment of it.

The Perks of Joining Our Team:

  • We cover the cost of your AHPRA registration and radiation certifications annually, so you can focus on your patients, not paperwork.
  • Join a practice where patients don't just show up, they show appreciation. Our loyal patient base truly values our team and the expertise behind them. With over 250 five-star Google reviews, our patients' glowing testimonials speak volumes about the exceptional care and service we provide — exceptional care that keeps them coming back.
  • Interested applicants are welcome to participate in an in-clinic observation day, providing a real-time insight into our practice environment, similar to a trial day, but without the administrative formalities.
  • Our dentists focus on restorative and complex care, placing complete trust in our hygienists and oral health therapists to lead all preventive and periodontal treatments. Your expertise is not just valued; it's respected and relied upon.
  • Genuine recognition, you'll never feel like "just another clinician." You'll be a key part of a friendly, collaborative team where your work is valued, your patients are grateful, and we believe you'll actually enjoy coming to work and being rewarding for the incredible contribution you make.
  • With dedicated dental assistants managing all setup, changeovers, and sterilization, you're free to focus entirely on your patients.
  • We offer end-of-year bonuses and parties to recognize and reward the hard work and team spirit that drive our success.
  • We also provide annual first aid training and support your ongoing professional development, ensuring you stay at the forefront of the latest industry trends and technologies.

You'll Thrive With Us If:

  • You have a Two-year Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene) or a three-year Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist with AHPRA. If you're a new graduate awaiting approval, your pending registration application will be accepted.
  • Familiarity with Ultimo software is a bonus, but not a must, we'll provide full training and support to get you up to speed
  • You're comfortable working autonomously in your clinical role, while also valuing collaboration and contributing to the success of the wider team.
  • You bring a proactive, respectful, and thoughtful approach to every interaction, with patients, colleagues, and support staff alike.

Note for Oral Health Therapists (OHTs):

We welcome applications from OHTs; however, please note this role is mainly hygiene-focused with limited therapy scope involved.
