Full-time, fixed-term contract commencing Monday, 15 September 2025 or as negotiated with the successful candidate and ending on Friday, 17 July 2026.

All Hallows' School is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to support the Finance Manager in scheduling and preparing daily, weekly and month-end processes, journal transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management and posting of journals.

This role provides accurate and reliable financial management reports as required to stakeholders, and expert advice to help ensure that the School always maintains strong financial controls, in accordance with recognised professional accounting and auditing standards and School policy requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting and budgeting, providing input for board reporting, balance sheet analysis, preparation of technical accounting memos and playing a key role in the month-end processes and year-end reporting and auditing process.

Coordinate and process daily, weekly and monthly transactions in the finance module of the School's Information System (TASS)

Deliver timely financial processing of transactions across the School's retail operations (uniform shop and tuckshop), including purchases, inventory, sales and cost of sales calculations

Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the FBT return

Prepare the BAS return for the subsidiaries

Role requirements

Hold and maintain a current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card).

Have approval to work in Australia.

Have or maintain the appropriate clearances, qualifications or registrations required to perform the inherent functions of the role.

Tertiary qualifications and/or experience that are deemed by the School as necessary to successfully carry out the duties of the position, such as a degree qualification in commerce, finance or related discipline.
