Process Operator in Training

Are you ready for a hands-on role in a great team environment? As a Crushing Operator in Training, you will enjoy hands on training, with a variety of tasks and exposure to some of the challenges that come with producing Raw Sugar. The aim of this 12-month fixed term contract is to gain valuable job knowledge and become experienced in our operational teams.

A Crushing Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be responsible for the efficient operation of our milling train. This role works closely with tradespeople, other operators and Mill management.

Your Role in Action

• Smooth Operator: Monitor the Milling Train & Boiler Station (including but not limited to turbines, alternators, boilers, gearing, bearings, oil pressures and temperatures) to ensure crushing of the cane is efficient and productive.
• System Specialist: Conduct station operations using a computer interface and Ipad operation.
• Fix-It Force: Identify leaks, process problems and report to the supervisor in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Housekeeping Hero: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices around the shredder, milling train, boilers, turbines and platforms to ensure a safe work environment.
• Efficiency Enforcer: Perform regular maintenance to ensure efficient and smooth running of the milling train and boilers and assist tradespeople when required.

Your Winning Combination

Previous experience with a current High-Risk Turbine and Advance Boiler ticket will be an advantage but, with a willingness to obtain these along with your excellent communication skills, a strong focus on safety, and are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you Make sure to highlight any additional skills or tickets you have in your application. It will be highly desirable if you have:

• Working at heights
• Confined Space Entry
• Maintenance skills including any trade qualifications and High-Risk Work License in Dogging, Rigging and Scaffolding
