Expression of Interest – Project Engineer About the Role

Minprovise is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. This is a key site-based role responsible for delivering sustaining capital projects safely, efficiently, and within budget. With a strong focus on structural, mechanical, and piping (SMP) works, you'll oversee projects from planning through to execution, ensuring successful outcomes across a variety of mining and resources sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sustaining capital projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and mechanical teams across both site and workshop environments.
  • Apply SMP expertise to a range of fixed plant projects.
  • Drive compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction teams to achieve objectives.

About You

  • Proven background in SMP project engineering (structural, mechanical, piping).
  • Experience in capital project delivery and/or shutdown scopes.
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills.
  • Previous site-based project delivery within mining/resources.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
  • Rio Tinto project experience will be highly regarded.
