Following the continued growth of our Primary School, British School Jakarta (BSJ) is seeking passionate, experienced, and committed educators to join our Learning Diversity team. We are currently inviting applications for two positions:
- Primary Learning Diversity Lead
- Primary Learning Diversity Teacher
Both roles require experienced teachers who are dedicated to supporting inclusive education and ensuring every child thrives in a nurturing and challenging environment.
Primary Learning Diversity LeadJob Description:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for Learning Diversity provision across the Primary School, ensuring a coherent, inclusive approach that reflects BSJ's values and curriculum.
- Lead, support, and develop the Learning Diversity team, fostering a collaborative culture focused on high-quality provision, reflective practice, and professional growth.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of targeted interventions and support programmes, ensuring they are evidence-informed and responsive to student needs.
- Work in close partnership with class teachers, year leaders, and senior leaders to embed inclusive practices and ensure provision is fully integrated within the curriculum.
- Monitor and analyse student progress and outcomes for those with diverse learning needs, using data to guide decision-making, refine approaches, and inform school development planning.
- Build strong relationships with families and external professionals, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring communication and collaboration support each student's success.
Job Description:
- Apply strong knowledge of a range of learning differences to guide daily communication with colleagues and provide practical advice on inclusive approaches.
- Plan, deliver, and assess push-in and pull-out interventions with clear objectives and outcomes, in collaboration with the Learning Diversity Primary Lead.
- Create and adapt resources and materials to support students with diverse learning needs, and guide teachers and year groups to do the same.
- Work closely with class teachers to co-plan, review, and refine support strategies, ensuring they align with the BSJ curriculum and Learning Diversity programmes.
- Use assessment, observation, and feedback to monitor student progress, evaluate the impact of interventions, and adjust strategies to promote successful learning outcomes.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A track record of exceptional teaching experience
- Capability to teach across the Primary age group
- Outstanding subject knowledge
- Enthusiasm and motivation for exemplary teaching and learning
- At least 5 years of relevant experience aligned with the role's qualifications
