About us:

We're The Hive (Old) Co-op, a small but mighty Disability Support crew based in Brisbane's Northside. For the past 7 years, we've been doing things a little differently: less bureaucracy, more heart. We're all about person-centred support, meaningful connection, and having a laugh along the way. We support people to build skills, explore their communities, grow confidence, and do things that light them up. And we're looking for someone who gets that, and gets us.

The Role:

We're seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Disability Support Worker's to join our close-knit team. You'll work directly with individuals, providing person-centred support that aligns with their unique goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised support services
  • Foster community engagement and social connections
  • Assist with daily living activities
  • Participate in occasional overnight respite (STA) and weekend getaways

Work Hours:

  • Primarily between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Evening and weekend shifts also available

What We're Looking For

Experience:

  • Previous experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work occasional night, weekend, and STA shifts

Requirements:

  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Reliable vehicle with full comprehensive insurance, and willingness to transport participants in your vehicle
  • Current open or provisional driver's license with no restrictions
