Peregian's café, Outer Square, is looking for a talented and creative Commis Chef to join our team of passionate people. We care about our team and value every employee, you will never be just a number here. Our menus are exciting and innovative and we pride ourselves on being different. Our kitchen currently operates 7 days a week from 6am to 2pm in the cafe, and provide conferencing and functions, catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner in essence Boutiqe Hotel & Holiday Homes.

The Role

  • creativity and passion, we like to be different
  • the ability to think 'outside the square' when collaborating on new menu items
  • a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • exceptional communication skills and ability to work in a small kitchen team
  • genuine enthusiasm for producing high quality food and sourcing local ingredients
  • Understanding and knowledge in conferencing and functions, breakfast corporate day delegate packages, and dinners.
